Chrystusiki frasobliwe… Jędrzej Wowro’ shrine in collection of the Town Museum in Wadowice
Courtesy of Prof. Witold Brostow, son of the poet and writer Janina Brzostowska, who lives in the USA, the museum’s collections have been enriched with an exceptionally valuable object – a wooden chapel by Jędrzej Wowro, probably from the 1930s. The full-plastic sculpture of Pensive Christ in the chapel consists of several parts fastened together with nails. It is accompanied by typical Wowra motifs – birds and trees.
