Abstract
International Matches of Sports Club Skawa Wadowice in the Post-War Period
The Skawa Sports Club in Wadowice was founded in 1907 by local craftsmen to allow youth outside the gymnasium to practice sports. Throughout its history, the club changed names and structures, currently operating as MKS Skawa Wadowice with football, volleyball, and table tennis sections. It achieved success both in national competitions and international matches against teams from Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Hungary. In the 1960s, Skawa faced financial difficulties, which were resolved with support from local companies. The club also participated in foreign tournaments, including in Bulgaria, highlighting its sporting and social significance.
